Our active biodegradable ingredient results in a slight texture to Bioguard 80®. This texture does not effect the level of protection to your book. The texture makes it easy for you, your team and your visitors to identify which books in your collection are covered in Bioguard 80®.

When replacing your book, it can can safely be identified as having Bioguard 80® covering and can be recycled or placed into compost or landfill

Some libraries have taken the step to ban single use plastics, which includes protective book covering. By removing plastic book coverings, the life of each book is greatly reduced. More books are sent to landfill.

Bioguard80® is the world's first fully biodegradable book covering that when placed in the right landfill or compostable environment, will fully biodegrade without leaving toxic microplastics.These environments contain the right mix of moisture, micro-organisms and temperatures that triggers biodegradation.

Bioguard80® has been tested and will not biodegrade while on display.Feel the difference.The active biodegradable ingredient can produce a slight texture in Bioguard80®. There is no loss of clarity or reduction in protection. In a way, it helps users feel the difference and know which books are covered with fully biodegradable book covering.This is a very small payoff for the huge environmental benefits Bioguard80® provides.

Bioguard80® is fully recyclable, as is the backing paper. At the end of life, the whole book can be placed into your recycling bin or into compost or landfill for full biodegradation.

Orders that are over $50 qualify for free shipping. For orders that are $50 and under, a small order service fee of $6.00 will be applied (these numbers all exclude GST).
If any item you receive is faulty or damaged we'll either refund, exchange or replace the item (which option depends on what the item is and what the best answer is for you). For change of mind returns we have a 30 day window in which you can do that, with a restocking fee of $7.50 per order and some terms and conditions (must be in original packaging, not damaged etc).
Technology items have a shorter return window and must come back within 14 days. Other items are not able to be returned and these are denoted by our “not returnable” icon.
