The Makita-built brushless motor provides superior power-to-weight ratio, making it ideal for use in New Zealand (NZ) workplaces.

The BL™ Brushless Motor eliminates carbon brushes, enabling the BL™ Motor to run cooler and more efficiently for longer life. This circular saw has a large cutting capacity of 2-1/4' at 90° and bevel capacity of 0°- 50°, making it versatile and suitable for a range of cutting applications.

The MAKITA 165MM Circular Saw is equipped with Makita's Automatic Speed Change™ technology, which adjusts cutting speed and torque under load for optimum cutting performance. This feature ensures that the tool maintains its cutting speed and power even when cutting through tough materials. Additionally, the efficient brushless motor is electronically controlled to provide up to 50% longer run time than non-brushless motors.

This product is a Skin Only Tool, which means that it does not come with a battery or charger. However, it is compatible with Makita's 18V LXT Lithium-Ion batteries, which are widely available in the market.

Orders that are over $50 qualify for free shipping. For orders that are $50 and under, a small order service fee of $6.00 will be applied (these numbers all exclude GST).
If any item you receive is faulty or damaged we'll either refund, exchange or replace the item (which option depends on what the item is and what the best answer is for you). For change of mind returns we have a 30 day window in which you can do that, with a restocking fee of $7.50 per order and some terms and conditions (must be in original packaging, not damaged etc).
Technology items have a shorter return window and must come back within 14 days. Other items are not able to be returned and these are denoted by our “not returnable” icon.
